The Disappearance of Devon Marsman (last seen Feb, 2022 in Halifax, NS)

I only need to walk a block or two in any direction from my home to see a poster pleading for information related to the disappearance of 16 year old Devon Marsman.

Devon was last seen in late February of 2022, and since then there has been little in the way of reliable details, tips, or sightings.

The most significant thing those searching for him have learned is that Devon seemed to have maintained two separate sets of personal relationships. One group his parents knew about and another group they didn't.

As you may have guessed it’s the later group are the people Devon spend his last known days with... and their ever evolving stories have done nothing but obscure the trail left behind.

Part 1 - Recorded July 2022 (5 months after Devon’s disappearance)

In this episode we meet Theresa Gray, Devon's mom, and discuss the unexplained disappearance of her 16 year old son Devon Marsman.

Part 2 - Recorded Feb 2024 (2 years after Devon’s disappearance)

In this episode we catch up with Theresa Gray to discuss the unexplained disappearance of her 16 year old son Devon Marsman as it is understood on the second anniversary.

the 1994 C.P. Allen High School Cow Incident (Halifax, Nova Scotia)

Ryan Sommers has a rather remarkable story to tell.

Back in 1994, when he was a student at C.P. Allen High School, he was involved in an economics project in which groups of students started businesses.

Ryan's group decided on running a sort of gambling scenario that involved bringing a cow to the school's sports field, and having people wager bets on where it would first poop.

As you will hear in this episode, the entire event went horribly wrong, and resulted in a cow chase involving RCMP, animal control officers, and large groups of excited school kids.

the Story of Lionel Desmond

On Jan. 3, 2017, Afghanistan war veteran Lionel Desmond bought a semi-automatic rifle, dressed himself in camo, and snuck through the woods to his family home.

Inside he shot his mother, his wife, and his 10-year-old daughter before turning the gun on himself.

The factors that led to this horrific outcome, and the red flags missed/ignored along the way were the topics of a public inquiry that has just concluded.

In this episode a sort of eclipse in storytelling and case analysis will occur as co-host of the Sunday Night Show series, Adam Rodgers, served as the deceased Lionel Desmond's legal representative in the inquiry.

Using insight gained through the inquiry, Adam Rodgers will walk Paul Palango and I through the story of Lionel Desmond, the deaths of Lionel and his family, the search for accountability, and where we are at today.

the Canadian Military Vs. the Sex Worker (who offers a military discount)

I love a David vs. Goliath story, and in this episode we have an especially lopsided mismatch.

Our Goliath is the Canadian Military and our David is a modest sex worker offering a discounted rate to soldiers.

The first stones have already been thrown in this battle but so far the military has done little more than offer the kind of advertisement an entrepreneur would dream of.

For example, the memo sent throughout the Kingston, Ontario military base warning it's members to not seek the services of the local sex worker offering military discounts... well... that didn't go as planned.

In this episode Madelayne Klein and I are joined by Tina... who is the last person the Canadian military wants it's employees sleeping with.
